Project Lead/Project Manager Industrial Transformation Latin America (f/m/d)

Worldwide - one of Agora’s or RAP’s hubs
Full or part-time
Fixed-term

Agora Industry

The global industry sector is undergoing a profound transformation, shaped by shifts in clean energy production, economic development, industrial competition, climate policy, trade policy, and geopolitical fragmentation. The question many governments are asking is how they can build low-cost, resilient and investable clean industrial systems in a world of fierce competition and uneven development.

Latin America is a growing region, attracting foreign investment and viewing the industrial sector as a means of mitigating social inequality while achieving economic development. However, as the industry sector currently accounts for only a small proportion of regional emissions, its potential fossil-based development poses sustainability and competitiveness risks to countries. The region's rich renewable energy and natural resources have made green industrialisation a major priority for countries like Brazil. By producing and exporting green industrial goods, Latin America can strengthen its industry sector, diversify global supply chains and drive climate-resilient economic growth.

And this is where we get involved. Together with our strategic partner Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP), Agora Think Tanks is pursuing the goal of achieving a climate-neutral energy system worldwide by the middle of the century. We combine research, dialogue and public relations in our daily work to find answers to those questions that are crucial to the energy transition. In doing so, we work closely with partners in numerous countries. And - very importantly - we act independently and free of economic or party-political interests.

Agora Industry has been working closely with its local think tank partner in Brazil and is building on this experience to expand its work and collaborate with partners in other Latin American countries, with a view to putting green industrialisation at the centre of the region's strategy for promoting socially inclusive and sustainable economic development.
This position is part of Agora Industry’s International Collaboration and Markets team, working closely with a wider group of industry experts in various regions.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a
